Veneers in Chicago

Veneers are facings that cover your teeth. Dr. Tokowitz uses porcelain to make them of the highest quality. They are bonded directly to the tooth surface for one or more of the following reasons:

  • whiten teeth
  • align teeth
  • close up spaces
  • repair chipped or damaged teeth
  • cover tooth enamel that is worn

How are Veneers Applied to the Teeth?

We’ll make the smallest alteration possible in the tooth surface to fit the veneer in, whether it’s to change the shape of your tooth or to make a crooked tooth look straight. Then, we’ll take either an impression of your bite, or scan your bite into the computer, creating a custom porcelain restoration using the E4D machine, a computerized design system.

How Long Does It Take?

We’ll fit your custom veneers over 2 appointments, each taking a total of about 2 hours. At your second visit the teeth will be cleaned with a mild acidic solution and the veneers are applied with a bonding adhesive that cements them in place.

How Long Do They Last?

This will depend on your home care, and the wear placed on them from your bite. Generally, ten years is a good estimate, but with proper dental hygiene and regular cleanings and exams, the best veneers in Chicago can last even longer.

Dr. Tokowitz’s modern dentistry services include custom veneers to make your smile perfect. Call today to find out more! (773) 880-2310
